KARACHI – Islamabad United successfully achieved a huge target of 197-run set by the Karachi Kings in sixth match of the Pakistan Super League 2021, at National Stadium Karachi.
The start of the United’s innings was not impressive enough as Philip Salt was caught out for duck. However, Alex Hales managed to keep the spirit up despite a mammoth target and smashed 46 off 21 balls.
Shadab Khan was also sent to pavilion for zero by Mohammad Amir. Later, Iftikhar Ahmad and Hussain Talat made 49 and 42 respectively, helping the team to achieve the target with five wickets and one over in hand.

Earlier today, Islamabad United won toss and decided to bowl first.
Karachi Kings made 196 runs at the loss of three wickets. Kings Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan made history by smashing highest opening partnership in the history of the tournament.

They made 176 runs jointly before Sharjeel (105) and Babar (62) were dismissed by Islamabad United’s Hasan Ali. Sharjeel brought up his second PSL century.
