Gang involved in selling kidneys busted by Islamabad police

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Islamabad police on Wednesday busted a gang allegedly involved in selling kidneys in the jurisdiction of the Lohi Bher police station.

According to a statement the accused used to bring people from Faisalabad to Islamabad promising them jobs. The group then used to take these people to a private hospital where their kidneys were removed.

Police officials said the accused were behind the removal of the kidney of Zeeshan who was paid Rs 10,000.

The group has been selling kidneys for Rs 2-3 million each.

Those arrested included Ijaz and Muhammad Khalid.

Dr Aniq and Riffat who were involved in carrying out the operations at the private hospital in Islamabad are still being searched, the officials said.
