First PAF s Shaheed pilot Marium Mukhtiar laid to rest in Karachi

RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif while expressing his condolences with the bereaved family of PAF’s Shaheed pilot, Flying Officer Marium Mukhtiar, has paid rich tribute to her valour and sacrifice.

In his condolence message issued by ISPR on Wednesday, the COAS said that Marium Mukhtiar was indeed a role model for women and pride of Pakistan.

Earlier, She was laid to rest with full military honour in Karachi.

Her funeral prayer was offered at Faisal Air Base Karachi late Tuesday night after her flag-draped coffin was flown on a military C-130 plane from Mianwali to Faisal Air Base. The body was received by PAF’s Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and other officers.

Squadron Leader, Atiq-ur-Rehman, led the funeral prayers. Family members, close relatives and PAF officers offered the funeral prayer.
