A day after he claimed ‘victory’ in the fist fight against Imran Khan’s lawyer Sher Afzal Khan Marwat on a live TV show, PML-N Senator Afnan Ullah Khan told Islamabad Police that Marwat assaulted him and he suffered injuries on his face as a result.
The fist fight, captured in a viral video clip widely shared on social media, occurred as the two guests, Senator Afnan Ullah Khan and Sher Afzal Marwat, engaged in a heated argument during the show. The dispute escalated quickly, resulting in Marwat physically assaulting Senator Afnan.
According to the spokesperson for Islamabad Capital Police, a case has been registered against Marwat under sections 506 and 352 of the Pakistan Penal Code at Abpara Police Station on Senator Afnan’s application.
In his application to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Islamabad, Senator Afnan alleged that Marwat assaulted him and slapped him three times. The senator claimed that he had to seek medical treatment for injuries to his face and head as he fell unconscious during the fight.

Supporters of both the PML-N and PTI immediately took to social media, attempting to claim victory for their respective representatives in the fist fight. However, the most part of the fight remains hidden from the camera.
Both Senator Afnan and PTI lawyer Marwat took to social media to present their versions of the incident. Senator Khan claimed that Marwat had initiated the attack, but he responded in a befitting manner and taught Marwat a lesson.
“While I firmly believe in non-violence, I am a dedicated soldier of Nawaz Sharif (PML-N supremo). The lesson that Marwat received is a critical reminder for all members of PTI, particularly Imran Khan. They won’t be able to show their faces and they would have to wear tinted glasses [to hide scars],” Senator Afnan stated in a tweet.
On his YouTube channel, Javed Chaudhry asserted that Afnan had effectively subdued Marwat, bringing the situation under control.
In response, Marwat accused the TV host of spreading misinformation regarding the incident. He refuted claims that Senator Afnan had gained the upper hand during the scuffle, stating that Afnanullah Khan had fled the studio and sought refuge in a nearby room.
Following the registration of the case against him, Marwat questioned the narrative built by certain media personalities, including Javed Chaudhry, and called for clarification on the “black belt” narrative surrounding Senator Afnan.
“Will Waseem Badami, Javed Chaudhry, and Mansoor Ali Khan clarify their position on the narrative of Black Belt Afnan? Senator Afnan has completely denied you in his complaint as you all claimed in your various V-Logs that the winner was a black belt. However, Black Belt claimed in his complaint (a complaint shared with me by Mishal Yousafzai) that he was brutally beaten, suffered injuries, and was rendered unconscious. This black belt narrative has seriously damaged public confidence in your professional integrity. Do you all have something to say about this?” Marwat wrote on his official X handle.
