RAWALPINDI – Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 17 runs in the 23rd match of the Pakistan Super League season nine (PSL 9) at Pindi Cricket Stadium today (Wednesday).
This was the first victory of Qalandars as they were winless in the tournament in their last seven encounters.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars set 163-run target for Islamabad United, thanks to Rassie van der Dussen who scored 64 runs.
In reply, Islamabad United were bowled out for 145 runs.
Qalanadars’ Zaman Khan took four wickets.
Earlier this week, on the back of a brilliant all-round performance by skipper Shadab Khan, Islamabad United edged out Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Monday night. Shadab, player of the match, scored 80 with the bat and claimed three vital scalps with the ball.
