Pakistan Slashes Petroleum Prices By Up To Rs3 40 Per Litre

ISLAMABAD – The federal government on Monday slashed the petroleum prices by up to Rs3.40 per litre for the next fortnight.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the decrease in the POL prices.

According to the new notification issued by the finance ministry, the petrol price was slashed by Rs2.07 per litre while the price of light diesel was decreased by Rs1.03 per litre. The price of high speed diesel was slashed by Rs3.40 per litre.

The new price of petrol has been set at Rs247.03 per liter, the price of diesel is Rs246.29, and the light diesel oil is available at Rs140.90 per liter.

Additionally, kerosene has also become cheaper by Rs3.57 per liter, bringing the new price of kerosene to Rs154.90 per liter.

The new prices of petroleum products will take effect from midnight tonight.
