The University of Karachi has awarded an honorary doctorate to Dr. Zakir Naik, a globally renowned Islamic scholar, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the Muslim world.
In a ceremony held at the Governor House, Sindh Governor and University Chancellor Kamran Tessori presented the prestigious degree to Dr. Naik. While bestowing the honor, Governor Tessori lauded Dr. Naik’s influence, noting his extensive body of work, which includes delivering thousands of lectures worldwide and engaging in numerous high-profile debates.
The ceremony was attended by an array of dignitaries, including consuls general from various countries, Sindh Higher Education Commission Chairman Professor Dr. Tariq Rafi, University of Karachi Vice-Chancellor Professor Khalid Iraqi, and Mufti Abdul Rahim. Faculty members, deans, and university professors were also present to celebrate Dr. Naik’s achievements.
