ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) Another corruption case in Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has come to surface as it has made over payment of Rs 12.9 million to Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC).
According to details, SNGPL imported some items from England through PNSC in 2011.
The shipping company claimed a sum of Rs 3.10 million for shipment delivery but high ups of Sui Gas, showed their generosity and paid Rs 4.29 million, which was Rs.1.29 million access from original claim.
Later the high ups of SNGPL forget to demand refund of extra money.
When audit authorities pointed out the corruption, the SNGPL officers expressed their resolve to take extra money from the shipping company but later on, they kept quiet on the matter since last five years.
When Auditor General asked the SNGPL to nominate those officer who were responsible for making over payment.
But the high ups failed to fix the responsibility and to take disciplinary action against the culprits.
