President Mamoon urges Muslim world to adopt joint anti-terroism strategy

ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the Muslim world to adopt a joint strategy against the menace of terrorism.

During a telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim, the President said Pakistan and Turkey were already cooperating for the elimination of terrorism and stressed the need to expand this cooperation.

The two leaders said that Pakistan and Turkey were true brothers and intimate friends who shared ideas on different issues and fully supported each other’s stance on all international fora.

Prime Minister Yildirim said Turkey supported Pakistan membership bid to the Nuclear Suppliers Group with an open heart and would continue to back Pakistan at international fora in the future as well.

He said friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries were being further strengthened and deepened with the passage of time.

The Turkish Prime Minister thanked Pakistan for expressing solidarity with the government and people of Turkey in the wake of recent terrorist strikes.

On the occasion, he also extended Eid greetings to President Mamnoon Hussain. The President also conveyed Eid greetings to the Turkish leadership and masses.
