Imran Khan plans Hajj pilgrimage next year

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan plans to perform Hajj pilgrimage next year, the PTI spokesman on Sunday told reporters in Lahore.

On the occasion, Naeemul Haque categorically dismissed the media reports which claimed that Imran Khan was set to perform Hajj this year, however, the movement against the incumbent government pushed him to change his mind.

“There was no final decision made whether Imran Khan will perform Hajj this year or not,” he maintained.

Responding to another question, the PTI spokesman said that his party will take the Panama Papers leak issue in the upcoming session of National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee.

He said Arif Alvi and Shafqat Mehmood would strongly represent the party’s stance in the meeting and it could be the first step towards accountability of Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf.

Earlier in 2015, Imran Khan performed Umrah along his wife Reham Khan soon after their marrige in January last year. The couple had announced their divorce in the same year.
