FLORIDA – A mass shooting at an airport in the state of Florida has claimed the lives of at least people and injured several others, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.
Friday’s shooting took place at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in the southern state.
“There is an ongoing incident in Terminal 2, Baggage Claim,” said a post on the airport’s Twitter account.

Around 73,000 people travel through Fort Lauderdale Airport every day.
The airport is currently closed while police restore calm.

The video shows several injured people laying on the floor, as witnesses shout for medical help.
Florida Governor Rick Scott is travelling to the airport to be briefed by law enforcement.
