Did this Pakistani actress s sympathy with the Manchester attack go wrong?

Armeena Rana Khan of Janaan became the first Pakistani actress to be nominated for the “Best Actress” in film category at the Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Awards, scheduled on Sunday, the 21st of May, in London, United Kingdom.

Following the ‘Manchester Attack’ at an Ariana Grande concert on Monday night which has shaken the world by storm, many Pakistani celebrities came to the forefront to condemn the brutal attack, one of them which was Armeena Khan.

She took to Instagram with a message in an attempt to voice her support against terrorism, denouncing the whole episode.

We HAVE to stand up for each other. No matter what the background, it could be you or your family one day. Let’s stand together as HUMANS, no boundaries, no labels. However, people did not take her words very well.

Despite all the online hatred, Armeena still chose to reply in a generous way.
