BJP’s health minister from Rajasthan caught urinating on walls of Pink City

JAIPUR – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government is in action to ensure cleanliness in cities and eliminate open defecation, but its own lawmaker has brought shame to the party after being caught urinating on the roadside in Jaipur, also known as the Pink City.

In what described as an embarrassment for BJP, a photo of Rajasthan Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf urinating on the walls of the Pink City has gone viral on social media, sparking public anger.

The Jaipur Municipal Corporation, on one side, making efforts for cleaning campaign under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign, but the health minister shrugged it off, saying “it is not a big issue”.

According to rules, a fine of Rs200 is imposed on a person who is found urinating on roads.

NDTV reported that the minister denied commenting after media approached him to talk about the issue.

In her response, Congress’ Rajasthan unit Vice President Archana Sharma said that such leaders were giving a wrong message through such shameful acts.

She revealed that the same minister did the same act when they were going to Dholpur during the by-elections, adding that she could not take picture of him at that time.
