Huawei unveils MateBook X Pro Laptop at MWC 2018

BARCELONA – Chinese computing brand Huawei has unveiled a new high-end laptop MateBook X Pro at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Huawei MateBook X is a super-slim laptop with 13.9-inch a 3000×2000 resolution 3k touch screen display, designed to compete with a MacBook in the looks department.

The bezel around the screen is so narrow that there’s no room for a webcam at the top of the display. Huawei has had to be a little creative to still include a webcam, tucking it underneath the keyboard. There’s a physical button with a camera icon on it between the F6 and F7 keys – pressing this makes the webcam pop out.

Huawei MateBook Pro X Key Features

The laptop comes with an 8th-generation Intel Core i7, a 512GB solid-state drive (SSD), 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 for high performance.

There is a fingerprint sensor to unlock the laptop and as for sound quality, the MateBook X Pro comes with quad speakers (Dolby Atmos Sound System) as well as four microphones and a Microsoft translator for multiple users. Combine that with the fact that the company has chosen to keep the USB 3.0 and it becomes a convenient business device.
