Lahore- A great initiative is taken by youngsters to collect, repackage and redistribute excess food from restaurants and events. Every single day tons of food goes to waste from restaurants, events and homes which is now collected by team Rizq headed by three young Pakistanis Musa Amir, Huzaifa Ahmed and Qasim Javed. Rizq creates a bridge between the excess food and needy people providing them healthy and packaged food.
They have a big team of volunteers who ensure the packaging and distribution of food. This social enterprise has got their “Rizqshaw’s which will collect the food from your doorsteps. If you are willing to donate for the needy you can simply give them a call and give excess food from your homes.
Rizq is currently operating in three cities and plans to further extend its approach.There are hundreds of homeless and poor people who are struggling to live every single day such initiatives should be supported by all so the results are massive.
