LTC launches Bus Da Pata Android app for commuters

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Competing with the new technology and providing citizens better travel services, Lahore Transport Company on introduced Pakistan’s first ever Android app for commuters informing them the timing, route and location of public buses running on the roads of Lahore city.

The newly developed application will cater the common man standing on the bus stop in warm weather not only assist him/her to get to know about the arrival of next bus rather would impart information about how much fare is to be given to the fare conductor and route information for the planned journey.

This was stated by Lahore Transport Company Chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassan while presiding on the launching ceremony of user friendly application “Bus Da Pata” on the buses plying on various urban routes of the city with the collaboration of Pakistan Trakker Limited.

Its enabling features will provide one click bus finder solution to the passengers, whereas it is imperative to note that it is easily and free of cost downloadable from the Internet on smart phones and developed by TPL. The exquisite features of this application include next bus arrival time, trip planner, live bus locator, fare information and route information will be available to the commuters.

This technology will accomplish the goals of prompt delivery of public service to the commuters by saving their precious time in routine life.

Ahmad Hassan said that urban public transport is never profitable but it’s a social service and our private transport operators are contributing in the system, and credit goes to the leadership who has given preference to the transport sector as witnessed in Turkey where public transport facilities is the second most priority in the federal budget which is basically a connectivity among different sectors.
