SUKKUR – An 11-year-old girl was strangled to death allegedly by two neighbours in Sardar Khan Pitafi village of Sindh’s Ghotki district on Friday night.
According to the victim’s father, the girl was murdered by his neighbours while the family had gone to visit a shrine in the area.
Police have arrested both suspects, named by the father in the first information report (FIR) lodged earlier today (Saturday).
The father of the victim claimed that the girl was raped before being killed but Station House Officer, Imamuddin rejected such claims and said that the suspects had murdered the child because she saw them in a ‘compromising position’.
Police said that both suspects had confessed to their crimes and were under arrest. The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.
