LAHORE – Sanju was a hit even before it hit the cinemas. Ranbir Kapoor’s look was a winner in the trailer and his amazing aura in the film is what makes it an expected blockbuster. It is set to earn Rs 30 crore on Day 1. Sanjay Dutt’s biopic takes one on a rollarcoaster ride that is enjoyable till the end. You would regret blinking in case it makes you miss a moment of the entertaining non-fiction!
Sanju focuses on the relationships Sanjay had/has. His wife’s role is played by Dia Mirza who has made quite a comeback. In the film, as Maanyata, Dia says that Sanjay is the king of bad decisions which makes the story ever so interesting. We see his drug addiction confession along with Sonam Kapoor playing the role of his love interest showing his womanizing side. Sanju touches upon the sensitive topic of the actor’s relationship with his late father Sunil Dutt.
Manisha Koirala is playing the role of Nargis and she is convincing at that. The glamour of showbiz is shown at it’s best and the lows of jail have been shown at their worst. Sanju is a package of glamour, humour, tragedy and success. It is a glimpse into Sanjay’s life through his own eyes. A MUST WATCH!
