LAHORE – Pakistan’s well-known TV actress Aisha Khan’s mother-in-law has been elected as a Member of the National Assembly in the General Elections 2018 on the reserved seats.
Asma Qadeer’s name was on the list of 18 ‘priority candidates’ nominated by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for 33 reserved National Assembly seats for women from Punjab. Asma has been a prominent member of the party and has been serving the PTI for long.
Former drama serials actor Aisha shared this good news by posting a sweet wish on her Instagram account. She wrote: “20 years of hard work, dedication, and untiring determination – all for Naya Pakistan! From mommy-in-law to MNA! Love you.”

Aisha Khan got married to Major Uqbah Hadeed in April after bidding farewell to the entertainment industry. She has worked in many drama serials, movies also in the past and had entertained the audience with her great acting skills.
