LAHORE – The National Cricket team Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said on Monday that the entire squad will donate Rs3.2 million for the construction of dams in the country.
Speaking at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Sarfaraz said that building of dams would benefit the country in the future, encouraging the citizens to step forward and donate for the Dam.
Players who are part of Asia Cup squad will donate 0.2 million each towards this project, said the captain.

Talking about the preparations for the Asia Cup scheduled in the United Arab Emirates
(UAE) from September 15 to September 28, he said ”National Team has been training hard for the tournament despite the hot weather.”
“The match against India is very crucial, I am trying my best to improve my batting skills. We will step on the pitch fully equipped against India,” sharing the devised strategy he further said, “First, we will try to score more than 300 runs, then we will try to defend the runs with our bowling skills”, he added.
Sarfraz also stressed that spinners will play an important role in the Asia Cup.
Earlier, Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar has announced that he will donate $10,000 for the construction of mega dams in the country.
