Fan following is something very common. We look up to celebrities and like to follow them everywhere. However things can get very tricky and there is a fine line between following and stalking. Taylor Swift is one of those singers who have been stalked often and has to involve her legal team.
Swift has been granted a restraining order for a stalker of two years. The stalker has made some seriously disturbing threats to the singer. 26 year old Eric Swarbrick has been sending letters to Swift from 2016. In one he threatened “I want to rape Taylor Swift. This is why I hate Taylor herself… this is how I know I’m Taylor’s soulmate.”
He wrote in one of his letters “ I have learned to absolutely repress the metaphorical monster in me, but very soon, I will become completely responsible for myself… what a logical conclusion is there other than death.” In the most disturbing letter he wrote “I will not hesitate to kill her.. and there’s nothing you your lawyers or the law will be able to do about it.”
