LAHORE – Hair is what makes us feel either amazing or either super down low depending on how our hair is treating us on the particular day!
Here are a few tips to make sure moisture does not leave our hair during cold winter days.
Protect your hair from the elements. Cold, wet winter weather can take its toll on your hair.
Scandizzo says, “Don’t forget to use a leave-in treatment to protect your hair from UV rays, chlorine, salt water and frizz. It will also add shine and smooth your hair, removing any evidence of dry and damaged locks.”
Keep your hair and scalp hydrated.
Seal in moisture with an oil like Shea butter, castor oil, or avocado oil.
Avoid over-styling or over-washing your hair.
It’s bad for your hair as it’s not recommended to shampoo your hair daily, as you’ll wash away the oils that’s keeping your hair from becoming dry. So it is entirely ok to wet your hair without shampooing it.
Have your hair trimmed regularly.
If you want to grow your hair out, you can wait longer.
Wash your hair in warm or cool water.
Cold water combats frizz. Curlies tend to believe that cold water helps prevent frizz, because cold water closes the cuticles of your strands.
Don’t leave home with wet hair.
The other thing is that when the hair is wet it loses its strength. So, the hair is half as strong when it’s wet.
Guys, take care!
