The first full trailer for Aladdin is here. The Guy Ritchie directorial is one of three live-action adaptations of classic animated Disney movies due in 2019 and it’s set to hit theaters in May.

There’s Mena Massoud as an Aladdin with a real commitment to undershirts; Marwan Kenzari’s new hot Jafar; Naomi Scott plays Jasmine; and of course Will Smith as the big, blue genie, who, thankfully, won’t be blue the whole time.

This new trailer opens with a scene reminiscent of the marketplace chase in the 1992 animated version. The plot revolves around a street boy named Aladdin (Mena Massoud) finds a magical lamp, which reveals a singing, dancing, wise-cracking genie (Will Smith). The genie grants the boy three wishes, with which he sets about charming Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott) and avoiding the evil Jafar (Marwan Kenzari).

In this trailer we get more of the Genie in action, a tease of Jafar and the central romance between Aladdin and Princess Jasmine.

The film, packed with action, romance, and classic Aladdin songs, is all set to release on May 24, 2019.
