Indian musician Himesh Reshammiya files for divorce from 22-year-old wife Komal

MUMBAI - India’s famous musician-actor Himesh Reshammiya and his 22-year-old wife Komal have decided to part ways and move on in their lives.

The Aap Kaa Surroor hitmaker filed for divorce at the Bandra family court on Tuesday. It is speculated that the reason behind Himesh seeking legal separation might be his affair with TV actor Sonia Kapoor, according to the Times of India.

Himesh and Komal had been staying separately for the last few months. The couple has a son named Swayam, who they intend to co-parent.

Himesh told Mid-Day that he and Komal decided to part ways amicably and that every family respects their decision.

Komal too stated that it was a mutual decision to seek divorce and that they will continue to be a part of each other's lives. "Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going ahead with this decision to part ways, but mutual respect will always be there between us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same stands for him towards my family," Komal told the Indian daily.

Himesh Reshammiya's latest non-film album Aap Se Mausiiquii has recently hit the music charts.
