Mahira Khan back on social media after weeks of silence
LAHORE - Pakistan's sweetheart Mahira Khan has made a comeback on social media after keeping mum for quite some time amid the fuss about the leaked images with Ranbir Kapoor.

Mahira and Bollywood's cutie pie Ranbir Kapoor were caught on camera smoking in public in New York,. This rattled netizens and soon they started to post some crass comments about Mahira's "indecent" picture as she was seen wearing "revealing" clothes and "smoking".

This obviously did not go down well on the 'Raees' actress and so she was reportedly quite depressed about how the entire episode was blown out of proportion.

The actress who is otherwise quite active on social media, took a break from digital space since then.

However, Mahira who is known to have frequent interactions with her fans and holding Q and A sessions for her followers globally, took under consideration a request from one of her fans.

The starlet got a tweet from one of her fans that read, ''Aap aa jao yaar.'' To this, Mahira replied, ''Aagayi''.

The ‘Humsafar’ star received a warm welcome frpm all her fans who supported and stood by her while all the drama unfolded a few weeks ago. Several Bollywood celebrities also showed immense support towards Mahira.

Reacting to the viral pictures, Ranbir Kapoor had said, "I've gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also said is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and Love."

He further added, "PS: Both smoking and hate are injurious to health."Earlier, it was Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor who reacted to the pictures and said, "He can meet anybody whoever he wants to, and if people are going to invade his privacy, it's not done."

Mahira’s fans are over the moon on his comeback.

Trailer of ‘Verna’

On Tuesday, Mahira also put up the teaser trailer for her upcoming movie ‘Verna’ on Twitter – in which she seems keen on taking revenge. The background song Power Di Game is quite fitting as well. The song, sung by Islamabad based rapper Xploymer Dar, is said to have a strong message in it.

And the fans are already in love with the teaser. Here’s what some of them had to say about the upcoming film.

Verna has been written, produced and directed by Shoaib Mansoor, known for his highly acclaimed films Khuda Kay Liye and Bol. Mansoor is known for introducing new faces in his movies.
