Couple commits suicide on failing to convince families for marriage

KHANEWAL - A man and woman allegedly committed suicide on Thursday in Khanewal after they failed to convince their families to allow them to marry.

Both deceased were relatives who wanted to marry with the consent of their families, but their families refused to do it.

On failing to convince his family, the man hanged himself to death, while the woman jumped before a moving train.

Police claimed that both loved each other and wanted to marry, adding that "the truth would be unveiled" after interrogating both families.
