LAHORE – At least ten people were killed and scores others injured after several vehicles collided with each other amidst extreme foggy conditions in Pindi Bhatian on Thursday, police said.

The pileup accident took place on Motorway near Sukheki Interchange on Thursday morning owing to reduced visibility.

The Rescue sources said at least 15 vehicles bumped into each other leaving nine killed and 80 others injured. The bodies and the injured have been shifted to different hospitals.

Motorway has been closed for all type of traffic from Lahore to Pindi Bhatian and Pindi Bhatian to Faisalabad. On the other side, the metrological department said this is smog, not fog and it will continue for next five days.
