VIDEO: NBP staffers too busy with mobile phones while dozens of people await their attention

KARACHI - An online circulating video has raised serious questions over the competence of the staffers of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).

The video shows the NBP branch in Thatta, Interior Sindh inundated with the dozens of the customers awaiting the bank officials to attend their affairs, however, they are too busy using their mobile phones.

"So many people are standing here worried and the bank staff is sitting idle with mobile phones in the hands," one of the people can be heard saying the video.


It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that the National Bank of Pakistan is the country's largest state-run commercial bank.

The bank acts as trustee of the public funds and as the agent to the State Bank of Pakistan in places where the SBP does not have a presence.
