PAKvBAN: Litton, Mehidy take Bangladesh on top in second Test against Pakistan

RAWALPINDI – The third day of the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh has concluded, with Pakistan taking a 21-run lead.

At the end of the third day, Pakistan lost 2 wickets for just 9 runs in their second innings. Abdullah Shafique was dismissed for 3 runs, and Khurram Shehzad went back to the pavilion without scoring.

Earlier, Bangladesh’s team was bowled out for 262 runs in their first innings, chasing Pakistan’s 274.

For Pakistan, Khurram Shehzad took 6 wickets, while Mir Hamza and Salman Ali Agha each claimed two wickets.

On the third day, Pakistani bowlers made an impressive comeback, with Khurram Shehzad and Mir Hamza delivering aggressive bowling to dismiss Bangladesh’s top 6 batters for just 26 runs.

For Bangladesh, Shadman Islam scored 10, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto 4, Mushfiqur Rahim 3, Shakib Al Hasan 2, while Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque were dismissed for 1 run each.

Later, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz put on a 165-run partnership for the seventh wicket, bringing Bangladesh back into the match. Mehidy was out for 78, and Litton Das was dismissed for 138. Taskin Ahmed scored 1, and Naheed Rana was out for a duck.

For Pakistan, Khurram Shehzad took 6 wickets, while Mir Hamza claimed 2.
