MUMBAI – Soon after it was announced that Bollywood actress will be joining the cast of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic ‘Sanju’, it was speculated that she would be playing either Madhuri Dixit or Tina Munim, the alleged love interests of Sanjay Dutt back in the 80s and 90s.
However, Sonam has put the rumours to rest that she would be playing an actress, saying, “I have a small but important part in the movie. It’s not what everyone is thinking. I am not playing an actress. I am not allowed to say anything about it.”

‘Sanju’ is directed by Rajkumar Hirani where Ranbir Kapoor will be donning Sanjay’s role. Ranbir and Sonam will also be reuniting onscreen after 11 years since their first movie together ‘Saawariya’.
