Tyrian White received some rather hateful tweets when she shared an article by The New York Times on 28th July 2017. The article in question was about then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s removal from office over corruption charges by the Supreme Court.
Although many people were quick to pass personal remarks on the thread without actually responding to the real issue at hand, there was one tweet in particular that was just too hard to miss.
The tweet in question, laced with bad intentions, was aimed as a jab at the fact that Tyrian is the alleged daughter of PTI leader, Imran Khan. This controversy has been brought back to life countless times especially after Jemima Khan, ex-wife of the PTI chief lovingly acknowledged Tyrian as her “step-daughter” on an Instagram post.
Tyrian responded to the distasteful comment that targeted her very existence with: “How low and immature does one have to be to send a 25 year old girl this hateful tweet? Wow. Sad.”
Many people came forward to condemn the offensive tweet and give Nadeem Malick a piece of their mind:
The bottom line is whether or not Tyrian White is related to Imran Khan or his family in any way should be an entirely personal matter and no one should use that as an excuse to be a horrible person.
Jemima Khan and her sons have shown nothing but love and support for Tyrian who is just a regular 25 year old trying to live her own life and who quite frankly never did anything to deserve such offensive comments.
The entire incident reminds us of how easy it is to start pointing fingers at the weaknesses of others without actually looking at ourselves first.
