LOS ANGELES – Anna Graham Hunter (a Los Angeles based writer) has come forward with the claim that Dustin Hoffman sexually harassed her while she was interning as a production assistant on the sets of Death of a Salesman in 1985. Hunter was 17 at the time.
“This is a story I’ve told so often I’m sometimes surprised when someone I know hasn’t heard it. It begins, “Dustin Hoffman sexually harassed me when I was 17,” says Anna in her detailed story.
“He was openly flirtatious, he grabbed my a**, he talked about sex to me and in front of me,” Hunter tells also mentioning that once his breakfast order to her included “a hard-boiled egg…and a soft-boiled clitoris.”
While seeming to like the attention at first, the 17 year old Hunter quickly grew scared. One letter to her sister, dated January 31, 1985, reads: “Today, I realized some things about this business that scare me. First of all, Dustin’s a lech. I’m completely disillusioned. After Tootsie, I thought I wanted to marry him.”
“I understand what Dustin Hoffman did as it fits into the larger pattern of what women experience in Hollywood and everywhere. He was a predator, I was a child, and this was sexual harassment,” she said.
In the growing number of Hollywood stars accused of sexual misconduct and harassment, Dustin Hoffman has now taken the front seat after James Toback, director-writer Brett Ratner, actor Jeremy Piven and two-time Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey. This cycle of victims opening up about their horror stories of sexual harassment and assault started with such accusations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

Hoffman has recently released a statement that says: “I have the utmost respect for women and feel terrible that anything I might have done could have put her in an uncomfortable situation. I am sorry. It is not reflective of who I am.”
