MUMBAI – The newest couple of B-town, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will be tying the knot on May 8. With everything from cards to venue and all the festivities on the go, one cannot help but remember what Sonam said about the perfect wedding gift a few years ago.
Appearing to Simi Garewal’s show, Sonam had revealed the perfect gift for her future husband (now Anand Ahuja), “I have written quite a few poems but there was this one poem that I wrote when I was around 16 years old. It is called Ambition. I had promised myself that as soon as I find the person that I’m going to be with, I’m going to give him that poem. The day I get married, the poem will be with that man and I’ll say that this is what I want my life to be like and hopefully, we can work together towards this.”
This is one sweet tale of love. Shortly after announcing the date of their wedding, Anand had posted something similarly sweet on hi Instagram while tagging Sonam.

Anand said: “#ibelieve #RoaldDahl#trendthis … One idea that has always amazed me is, “if we can all make one, just ONE person happy, the whole world would be happy.” How true and simple is that. The answer to world peace is simply loving those around you.”
Sonam and Anand will tie the knot during a two-day event next week at Sonam’s aunt’s bungalow in the city in a traditonal wedding followed by a party at a five-star hotel in the city.
Right after her wedding, Sonam will walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and May 15 along with promotions of her upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
