London knife attack leaves woman dead, injures five

LONDON (Web Desk) – One woman was killed and five others injured by a man who went on a rampage with a knife in central London on Wednesday.

According to the details, police were called at 10:33 p.m. (2133 GMT) after a man armed with a knife started to attack people in London’s Russell Square, an area close to the site of 2005 bombings.

The woman, believed to be in her 60s, died on spot. She has not been identified.

Later on, Police nabbed the suspect through the Taser electric shock gun. The 19-year-old youth is reportedly suffering from mental anomalies.

“Early indications suggest that mental health is a significant factor in this case and that is one major line of inquiry,” London Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley told reporters.

Meanwhile, London Mayor Sadiq Khan urged locals to remain calm.
