NEW YORK – After a few heated days of speculation that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik called it quits, complete with some very important internet sleuthing, as reported by publication ‘Haper Bazaar’ that the couple has finally ended the relationship.
“They’re done,” the source said. “They could get back together, but it’s over for now.”
Until now, the reports had been that they were just taking some time apart and had been since early November. Fans caught onto the whole thing because they’d been so absent from each other’s social media. They didn’t post any holiday pics, and Gigi went to Taylor Swift’s NYE part alone.
Gigi’s last post of Zayn was from late October, so that’d line up with the November break timeline.
The reason for their split is also unknown. According to a source, Gigi and Zayn didn’t break up because they stopped loving each other, but rather because they “just couldn’t make it work.” Zayn is working on “personal things,” the insider added, and Gigi “has become a comfort blanket for him.”

The source had further revealed that Hadid “cut herself off from all her friends” whenever she was with Malik. “She focused all her time and energy on him, but it just got to be too much.”
Gigi noticeably didn’t share any photos with Zayn over the holidays, but she was seen with friends at Taylor Swift’s costume party on New Year’s Eve, sans Malik.
