LAHORE – The closing ceremony of Pakistan Super League season 2 entertained cricket fans at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore before the much awaited final.
The closing ceremony kicked off with performance of pop icon Ali Zafar who headed to the stadium after postponement of shoot for his next Lollywood flick ‘Teefa in trouble’.
Ali released a video message as well before his performance. The ‘Channo’ singer earned respect after it was revealed that he performed at the ceremony without charging anything from PCB.
Renowned comedian Ahmed Ali Butt and actress Ayesha Omer are hosting the glamorous closing ceremony which lasted for approximately 80 minutes.
Veteran singer Faakhir and rockstar Ali Azmat also entertained the crowd with their popular hits. PSL chairman Najam Sethi thanked chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif for the support regarding holding the landmark event in provincial capital.
He expressed that it would be great to see top teams locking horns in PSL final.
Earlier, Pakistan Army paratroopers displayed a beautiful show as they landed in the stadium with crowd cheering to appreciate their valor.

After the conclusion of closing ceremony the final encounter between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi has started as Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first.
The government has made unprecedented security arrangement for today’s match due to security environment after last month’s tragic incidents.
Pakistan Cricket Board has extended invitations to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, all Governors, Chief Ministers and former legend cricketers to watch the match.
Around ten thousand police personnel will perform security duty for the final match. People are showing great enthusiasm for the long-awaited event.
