WASHINGTON (Staff Report) – Republican presidential contestant Ted Cruz has won Wisconsin primary polls, further creating hurdles for forerunner Donald Trump to earn party’s nomination for forthcoming presidential election.
Meanwhile Democrat party’s forerunner Hillary Clinton also faced defeat at the hands of Bernie Sanders who bagged over 56 percent votes in the same state. Hillary got 44 percent votes.
Ted Cruz won majority of delegates at Wisconsin with around 49 percent votes. Donald Trump could secure only 34 percent votes.
Following the victory, Cruz has announced to gear up his campaign with new energy, vowing to earn the required delegates by the end of primary polls. “I am more and more convinced that our campaign is going to win the 1,237 delegates needed to win the Republican nomination,” he said while speaking to his supporters.
Observers say that victories of Sanders and Cruz are nothing but just minute threats to forerunners, Hillary and Trump respectively, and upcoming New York primary is seemingly turning a big fight for the the candidates.
If the same kind of challenge is faced by Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in New York, which carries over 200 delegates, their opponents can definitely turn the table.
