Civilian killed, policeman injured as police station targeted in Karachi

KARACHI – At least one civilian was killed and two policemen were left injured in two separate attacks in Karachi’s North Nazimabad neighbourhood early Friday.

The first incident happened in North Nazimabad when a police constable Muhammad Iqbal was injured when unidentified assailants lobbed a hand grenade at Taimuria Police Station.

Later, 25-year-old Ali Imran was gunned down when assailants opened fire at Five Star Chowrangi in the same area.Bashir, a traffic police official, was injured in the firing incident.

Inspector General Sindh A.D. Khowaja, took notice of the two incidents and ordered DIG-West to present a report after conducting a detailed inquiry.
