LAHORE – Recently, the industry has experienced turbulence after the Harvey Weinstein case. Actors have been becoming more vocal about the wrongs being done to them and it is high time that some change of the this sort was needed.
When it comes to being vocal, Armeena Rana Khan has always been at the forefront. The actress is a symbol of empowerment in a society where cases of harassment and wrong dealings go unnoticed because the victim is often looked down upon.
Armeena posted on her social media, sharing her horrifying experience where she was contaced by an ‘escort agency’. The actress not only drew the line between actresses and escorts, but also told the individuals to stop ‘pimping’ (doing something they would feel shameful of if the women in their life knew of it).

Armeena tweeted: “Just got yet another another solicitation offer by an “escort agency.” Dear Assholes, escorts are not actresses and actresses are not escorts. So STOP pimping, unless you are happy to tell the women in your life that you are a bloody pimp. (Excuse my language ya’all) #hadtobesaid”
Twitter users came to her support and lauded her for standing up for herself, and other actors.
