Pakistan Navy inducts two new warships

KARACHI – The new naval warships PNS Babur and PNS Hunain joined the Pakistan Navy fleet on Friday during a special ceremony in Karachi.

The ceremony was held in Karachi, with President Asif Zardari attending as the chief guest.

The event was also attended by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and the Turkish Minister of Defense.

In his speech, President Zardari stated that the addition of PNS Babur and Hunain would enhance the Pakistan Navy’s capabilities.

Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf also addressed the ceremony, noting that both ships are equipped with modern weapons and that operational readiness is crucial for dealing with both conventional and unconventional threats. He expressed gratitude to Turkiye and Romania for their support in the projects.

The two state-of-the-art ships, PNS Babur and PNS Hunain, are equipped with the latest technology and missile systems. They possess the capability to thwart any enemy maneuver, with their construction supported by the friendly nations of Romania and Turkiye.
