NEW YORK – Themed ‘Heavenly Bodies’ for this year, Met Gala 2018 was a bold choice of fashion feauring everything from Renaissance Catholic fashion to the dark, brooding, Gothic Crusades.
The gala is a fundraising benefit for the museum and also marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition.
Held at Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, the ball was hosted by Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace.
We have rounded up five best looks from this year. Let’s have a look.
Model Rosie Hunington went all angelic with a touch a dark (see the lips) as she looked stunning with a halo to go with her white gold Ralph Lauren gown.
Gigi Hadid’s feather inspired dress looked of celestial sorts in Versace – angels mingling with their dark sides, or just the white swan merging with the black swan.
Bella Hadid chose the dark side of religion as she opted for a dark latex theme in Gareth Pugh x Chrome Hearts.
Amal Clooney looked radiant in a garden of eden inspired Richard Quinn dress.
Blake Lively’s mother of all gowns took the lead as she arrived in her Versace gown which took 600 hours to complete.
