Sufiyan Khan scored Pakistan’s first goal from a penalty corner in the first quarter, and Nadeem Ahmed added a field goal in the second quarter. Malaysia responded with goals in the third and fourth quarters to level the score.
Pakistan’s captain, Imran Butt, was named Player of the Match for his exceptional performance.
