BAGHDAD (News Desk) – Iraqi forces claimed to have killed the deputy of so-called Islamic State’s chief Abubakr al- Baghdadi in latest airstrikes in the city of Barwana in Anbar province.
According to media reports Assi Ali Mohammed Nasser al-Obeidi was number two leader of ISIS and a brigade commander of Saddam Hussain’s army in Iraq.
Media reports also added that he was a former fugutive Abu Ghraib jail and was also detained in Camp Bucca during the Iraq war.
Al-Obeidi was mostly deputed in Syria and led the fighters of ISIS who recently came to Iraq amid a situation in which local forces have intensified fight against the group.
Meanwhile another news related to ISIS suggests that at least 24 fighters of the group were killed in a US drone strike in Afghanistan.
