ISLAMABAD – Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani has suspended PTI Senator Falak Naz Chitrali for two days for using inappropriate language against Senator Faisal Vawda during the Senate session.
Faisal Vawda criticised the PTI founder Imran Khan, mentioning that while PTI was against NAB amendments until yesterday, they have now benefited from these amendments. He claimed that PTI is now seeking to negotiate with the army despite previously refusing to do so.
During the session, there was a heated exchange between PTI Senator Falak Naz and Faisal Vawda, with Falak Naz using inappropriate language.
Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani ordered to expunge the offensive words used by Falak Naz.
Faisal Vawda urged the Chairman to take action and have Falak Naz arrested, saying that simply removing words is not enough.
Chairman Gilani said that if Falak Naz does not apologise, she will be suspended.
Faisal Vawda responded that the issue is that whenever someone apologizes, the Chairman forgives them. He insisted that action must be taken, either through suspension or a formal apology.
Gilani then suspended Senator Falak Naz for two days.
The Senate session was adjourned until Sept 12 at 3PM.
