REVEALED: Apple iPhone X Plus amp; budget iPhone X design, aspects

CALIFORNIA – US tech giant Apple’s upcoming smartphones 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus and budget 6.1-inch iPhone’s technical designs, size and aspects have been leaked by Forbes contributor Gordon Kelly in collaboration with case-maker Ghostek.

6.5-inch iPhone

The latest iPhone, which is being dubbed as X Plus, will have a 6.5-inch 19:9 OLED screen and measuring 157.2 x 77.1mm body that is more compact than the current iPhone 8 Plus’ 158.4 x 78.1mm.

The 6.5-inch iPhone will have a triple camera.

Kelly says the three cutouts in the render are lenses and the flash isn’t shown. It will likely hang out on the side of the triple camera module. The function of the new third camera is yet unknown.

The notch on the front of the 6.5-inch iPhone seems smaller and is rumored to house Face ID 2.0.

6.1-inch iPhone

The 6.1-inch iPhone is labeled as the ‘budget’ model and is expected to offer a single camera and Face ID 1.0 – the same as on the iPhone X and occupying a larger notch than the one pictured in the 6.5-inch iPhone’s render.

The 6.1-inch phone measures 147.12 x 71.52mm which is taller than the X.

The report also suggests that the company has also ditched the most sought full feature 3D Touch in ‘budget’ 6.1-inch iPhone.

According to sources, Apple will lower prices of its iPhone range by $300 over 2017’s models. This could mean that the most expensive model could be priced similarly to the current iPhone X while the ‘budget’ 6.1-inch iPhone could be priced as low as the iPhone 8.
