Case registered against anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan for ‘running’ anti-judiciary campaign

ISLAMABAD – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday registered a case against YouTuber and anchorperson Imran Riaz for allegedly running a campaign against judiciary on social media.

According to the media reports, a case was been filed at FIA Cyber Crime Circle Islamabad against journalist and YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan, along with seven others, for launching an anti-judiciary campaign on social media.

The case names Imran Riaz, Mujahid Ali Shah, Allah Nawaz Khan, Sohail Ahmed, Umar Sadiq, Siddiq Anjum, Musaddiq Abbasi, and Tariq Saleem as accused.

The case was registered under the complaint of Ahmed Sadiq Khan from G-14 Islamabad, under sections of the PECA Act, including ‘Violation of Privacy’, threats, and aiding in a crime.

Following the registration of the case at FIA Cyber Crime, the arrest of the accused is anticipated, and media reports suggest that similar cases may be registered against other vloggers and YouTubers as well.
