FAISALABAD – The dazzling trophy for the Champions One-Day Cup was unveiled at Iqbal Stadium on Wednesday.
The tournament, featuring five teams, will kick off on September 12 with the Markhors, led by Mohammad Rizwan (formerly Wolves), taking on the Panthers, captained by Shadab Khan. The final is set for September 29.
This 50-over competition will showcase the nation’s top cricketers and will follow a single-league format.
The five teams will be mentored by cricket legends: Misbah-ul-Haq (Markhors), Saqlain Mushtaq (Panthers), Sarfaraz Ahmed (Dolphins), Shoaib Malik (Stallions), and Waqar Younis (Lions).
The Champions One-Day Cup will offer Rs30 million to the winners and Rs15 million to the runners-up.
Except for the match between Lions and Panthers on September 16, which will start at 9:30 AM local time, all other 13 matches will commence at 3 PM.
