Pervez Musharraf likely to leave for USA from Dubai

DUBAI (Staff Report) – Former military ruler Pervez Musharraf is likely to leave for United States from Dubai for medical treatment this week.

Sources in Musharraf’s political party, All Pakistan Muslim League, informed Online that the former president would be going to America for his medical treatment as he is suffering from backbone problem.

The party sources further said that the former military ruler would be staying at residence of his son Bilal Musharraf during the visit to New York. Later he would visit Houston and Washington.

The former dictator flew to Dubai on March 18 after his name was put off from Exit Control List (ECL) by the Supreme Court.

Musharraf, who is facing a treason trial for clamping emergency in the country on Nov 3, 2007, was barred from travelling abroad after his name was placed on the ECL on Apr 5, 2013.
