ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet US President Donald Trump twice during his upcoming visit aimed at addressing the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the schedule, the first meeting between PM Imran and US President Trump will be at lunch, whereas, the other will be at hi-tea.
The prime minister is set to address the United Nations General Assembly on September 27.
The upcoming visit, as well as the engagements of Premier Khan, is crucial owing to the recent occupied Kashmir crisis where the ruling BJP imposed a lockdown last month and revoked the special status granted to the valley.

Prime Minister Imran Khan would be highlighting the atrocities being committed against the people of Kashmir by the Narendra Modi-led regime.
The interaction with the US President is also of prime importance as Trump had offered mediation on the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan when Pakistan’s PM met him at the White House.
After apparently backtracking on the offer, trump had for one more offered to play the role of a mediator to settle the decades-long Kashmir issue which is a bone of contention between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
