WASHINGTON – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry attended various events in Los Angeles and California, highlighting Pakistan’s role in the world.
On Monday, the ambassador attended an event at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Center for India and South Asia where he spoke about Pakistan’s relations with the United States.
The event was attended by faculty members and students of UCLA as well as members of Pakistani American community.
Aizaz Chaudhry also held a meeting with prominent members of Urdu Writers’ Society of North America at a luncheon hosted by the society in his honor in Los Angeles. Consul General LA Jabbar Memon was also present on the occasion.
In the busy day, Aizaz Chaudhry inaugurated a “Wall Collage” at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles. The Wall Collage depicts images of landscapes, history, architecture and culture from all provinces of Pakistan.
The Pakistani envoy also met the LA Times Editorial Board where he briefed the members of the board about current state of Pakistan-U.S. relations, Pakistan’s efforts and successes in war on terror, situation in Afghanistan and other regional issues in South Asia.
Besides, Aizaz, on Feb 11, addressed a gathering of the Pakistani-American community at Santa Clarita, California. The event was attended by representatives of the offices of the area’s congressmen, state senators, local government officials, and others members of Pakistani American community.
He also witnessed a friendly match between the two team, CG XI (Greens) and Kashmir XI (Blues) at Santa Clarita, California.
Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry attended a breakfast meeting with Pakistani American community hosted by Council of Pakistan (COP) at the residence of Imran Sharief in Los Angeles.
